I have decided to write my research paper on the use of steroids in major league sporting events. I will go over the effects of steroids, why they are banned from the sports, and what is being done to make sure they stay out of the sports. I decided to write about this topic because i am an avid sports fan. I do not see why athletes have to harm themselves to be just one step faster or so they can lift ten pounds more. To me i think that there is no reason for someone to harm their body for something that small. I hate seeing kids look up to these players and they want to be like them but they will never be like the athlete unless they take performance enhancers. I want to make it known that steroids should stay out of sports.
I have researched the topic of steroids before. I followed the Marshall report about the scandal of hundreds of baseball and football players taking steroids or something along the lines of them. I have studied the effects of steroids. They can cause acne, bad tempers, mood swings, cancer, heart failure, and the shrinking of testicles.
I would like to know the measures that they are taking to keep steroids out of the major leagues for good. I also would like to learn how the addicted players are being helped so they don't try doing them again. Also, are the players who have taken the steroids been treated differently since they were tested. Finally, how has this effected children on the way they look at the sports now?

I've had students write about steroids in sports before, but no one has addressed your last question: "Finally, how has this effected children on the way they look at the sports now?"
